Terms of Service
Last updated June 6, 2026
These terms govern your use of Arris, a Mac desktop database client. By downloading, installing, or using the app, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use Arris.
License
Subject to these terms, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download and use Arris. The app is free for personal use. We retain all rights not expressly granted to you.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the app except where that restriction is prohibited by law.
- Resell, sublicense, or redistribute the app or pass it off as your own.
- Remove or alter any proprietary notices in the app.
- Use the app to access systems or data you are not authorized to access, or in violation of any applicable law.
Your data and connections
You are responsible for the databases you connect to, the credentials you supply, and the queries you run. Arris executes the statements you write against the sources you configure — including statements that modify or delete data. You are solely responsible for ensuring you have the right to access those systems and for any consequences of the operations you perform. See our Privacy Policy for how data is handled.
Third-party software
Arris bundles open-source database drivers and other third-party components, each governed by its own license. Your connections also interact with third-party database systems and services that are subject to their own terms. We are not responsible for third-party systems or their availability.
Intellectual property
Arris, its name, logo, and software are owned by us and protected by intellectual-property laws. These terms do not transfer any ownership in the app to you.
Disclaimer of warranties
Arris is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will meet your requirements.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or revenue, arising out of or relating to your use of Arris — including data loss or corruption resulting from queries you execute. The app is a tool that operates under your direction; you use it at your own risk.
Updates and availability
We may release updates, change features, or discontinue the app at any time without notice. New versions may be subject to revised terms.
Termination
These terms remain in effect while you use Arris. You may stop using the app at any time. The license terminates automatically if you breach these terms; upon termination you must stop using and delete the app.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the app evolves. Material changes will be reflected on this page with a revised "last updated" date. Continued use of Arris after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
